Sunhae Im’s first appearance in this Festival was as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, conducted by Iván Fischer in 2011. (See a review on the New York Times: “Sunhae Im and Riccardo Novaro… an adorable country couple in love”.)
Her first appearance at the venue, the David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center, was as the soprano soloist for Handel’s Messiah in 2008. The hall was called the Avery Fisher Hall at that time. Ton Koopman conducted the New York Philharmonic. (See a review on the New York Times: “… Sunhae Im, a splendidly bright soprano“.)
